A previous poster was right, Frankie Avalon by this post wasn't very popular. But then again thanks to the British Invasion, Motown, The Beach Boys, The Doors, etc....pretty much most of the biggies of the 50s were not biggies by the mid 60s.
Of course some did revent themsevles. Elvis sure did. Bobby Darin and Rick Nelson somewhat. Bobby Vinton did become popular again in the 70's but mainly tot he Polish audience. Connie Francis tried too but could not thanks to some very sad tragic circumstances. Fabian did Playgirl...ah bad idea.
Frankie Avalon did this episode to try to break into the adult audience. Maybe he landed some gigs in Vegas as a result but either way his days of being "popular among teens" was long over. But anyway I am sure Frankie Avalon would rather have his fans remember him from doing this show than say that horrible horror flick he did in the late 70's..featuring such scenes as him killing a girl with an ax while he sings...VENUS !!!
Well at least he did "Back to the Beach" with Annette Funicello. Not a bad movie..too bad Annette got sick they never did a round two.

This episode is notable for featuring Frankie Avalon, who sings several songs. I've read that he was already losing popularity at this point.
"The Lucy Show" simply wasn't as good as "I Love Lucy", But this is still pretty amusing.
I'm glad somebody has uploaded it, Because this show is quite fun.
